Amazing Things a Shoe Can Do
Working closely with Nike’s Greater China Headquarter, Carrot Salmon created social campaigns to announce the launch of Nike’s new shoes - the Lunar Epic.
We approached the campaign by producing a series of four animations to be featured in a WeChat article and 16 animated stickers for users to download in Miaopai, the Chinese counterpart of Snapchat.
Lunar Epic is known for its comfortable soles and the spiral patterns engraved on the soles to give wearers the most effortless sensation when running.
For the 4 animations, we’re inspired to set the scenes in space to convey that ‘weightless’ feeling as one put on a pair of Lunar Epic.
The animations were featured in Nike’s official WeChat account, which gained the brand huge buzz across Greater China. The campaign has a 4.3x higher social engagement in the first 5 days, compared to the first 9 days’ statistic 3 months prior.

Also themed around the newly launched sportswear, the shoes were given lives in these little animated stickers where they interact with users as part of their unique social posts.
